Temperature and relative humidity data in rice paddies in diverse climates of MINCERnet

MINCERnet is the monitoring network of micrometeorology in rice paddies in the world’s major rice producing regions (Yoshimoto et al., 2012, J. Agric. Meteorol., 68, 149–157). The air temperature and relative humidity above and inside the canopy were monitored using the MINCER instruments (Fukuoka et al., 2012, J. Agric. Meteorol., 68, 135–147), and the panicle temperature was calculated by the IM2PACT heat balance model. The heat-induced spikelet sterility of rice was closely related to the panicle temperature during flowering period instead of the air temperature (Yoshimoto et al., 2022, Agric., For. Meteorol., 316, 108860). This dataset of micrometeorology in rice paddies will be useful for the evaluation of crop growth and various stresses.
MINCERnet是全球主要水稻产区稻田微气象监测网络(Yoshimoto等,2012,《农业气象学杂志》,68卷,149–157页)。研究采用MINCER仪器(Fukuoka等,2012,《农业气象学杂志》,68卷,135–147页)对冠层上方及内部的气温与相对湿度进行监测,并通过IM2PACT热量平衡模型计算穗部温度。已有研究证实,水稻热诱导颖花不育与开花期的穗部温度紧密相关,而非气温(Yoshimoto等,2022,《农业与森林气象学》,316卷,108860页)。本稻田微气象数据集可应用于作物生长及各类胁迫的评估工作。
