Knowledge and perspectives of healthcare professionals Towards the Difference Between Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Osteopathy: A Survey Study

This study aimed to evaluate healthcare professionals' attitudes and understanding of the differences between osteopathic medicine, chiropractic care, and physiotherapy. A survey was distributed to physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to assess their knowledge of each field's practices, treatment methods, and perceived effectiveness. Results showed that while most participants had a good understanding of physiotherapy, knowledge about osteopathy and chiropractic care was less clear. The findings highlight a need for better training and communication about these professions' unique roles within the healthcare system. Improved multidisciplinary education and teamwork could lead to better patient referrals, enhanced collaboration, and improved patient outcomes.本研究旨在评估医疗保健从业者对骨医学（osteopathic medicine）、脊椎按摩疗法（chiropractic care）与物理治疗（physiotherapy）三者差异的态度与认知。研究通过向医师、护士及专职医疗人员发放问卷，评估其对各领域的诊疗实践、治疗手段及感知疗效的认知水平。结果显示，尽管多数参与者对物理治疗拥有较好的认知，但对骨医学与脊椎按摩疗法的认知仍较为模糊。本研究结果凸显了针对上述医疗职业在医疗体系中的独特职能开展更完善的培训与沟通的必要性。加强多学科教育与团队协作，或可优化患者转诊流程、提升跨团队协作水平，并最终改善患者预后结局。
