The Geant4 Lunar Albedo Computed Environment (GLACE) Model
收藏资源简介:
GLACE tabulates the results of extensive Geant4 simulations of the production of secondary energetic particles (albedo) when the lunar surface is struck by solar or cosmic-ray ions in the MeV to multiple GeV range. It consists of normalized kernels, stored as JSON files, that can be convolved with any desired incident ion spectra to calculate energy/angle distributions of all albedo species except neutrinos (with some rare species grouped). Distributions of albedo particles are useful for remote sensing of surface composition, specifically the presence of hydrogen, and are important for radiation protection studies for astronauts or equipment on or near the lunar surface. The file 000README_GLACE_v1_0.pdf describes the content and format of the model files; please read it to decide what subsets of the (very large) model need to be downloaded for your particular purpose.
