Genes are ranked by taste bud/non-gustatory lingual epithelium (LE) gene expression ratio. Average expression values from CV taste bud (CV), fungiform taste bud (FG), and LE samples were used to calculate expression ratios. Corresponding p values were generated using two-sample paired Student's t-tests.
