The data set contains quantitative sampling of Hymenoptera (Insecta) in a beech forest on limestone in Central Germany (Ulrich 2001) collected between 1980 and 1987. Collection was done with ground photo eclectors. The data cpmpile a total of 720 species with densities per m2 for each generation, body sizes, and host informations. Respective references are attended to this data set.
