The effects of resistance training on myostatin in Older Adults with Frailty and/or Sarcopenia

To systematically evaluate the effects of resistance training (RT) on myostatin (MSTN) levels in older adults with frailty and/or sarcopenia.We systematically searched electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effects of RT on MSTN levels in older adults with frailty/sarcopenia, from database inception to March 2025. Two reviewers independently performed literature screening, data extraction, and assessed the risk of bias using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool. Meta-analysis was conducted using Stata software.
