To better understand the host transcriptional response of pigs to poly I:C stimulation, we obtained peripheral blood mononuclear cells from piglets of one modern commercial breed (Landrace) and one Chinese indigenous breed (Dapulian) and treated those cells with 20 ug/ml of poly I:C, and analyzed differential microRNA expression between poly I:C-treated and control groups using RNA-sequencing.
