Database title: CTD data from RV Oceania cruise AREX2016 in the Nordic Seas, Fram Strait, and the Arctic Ocean, Institute of Oceanology PAS, Poland

CTD measurements were collected in the Norwegian, Barents, and Greenland Seas, Fram Strait, and the Arctic Ocean north of Svalbard in June-July 2016 during the AREX2016 cruise of RV Oceania. The open ocean legs of the cruise (II and III) were part of a regular, annually repeated summer campaign under the IOPAN long-term multidisciplinary Arctic monitoring program AREX. Full-depth profiles of ocean temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and chlorophyll fluorescence were measured on 269 stations distributed along 13 standard sections, covering the key areas of the Atlantic water inflow towards the Arctic Ocean. The main objective of the cruise was to document and understand the variability of water mass properties, ocean circulation and ocean-air-sea ice interactions along the pathways of Atlantic inflow in the broader context of climate change and environmental impacts.
