VPRS 9683 Printing and Publishing Process Cost Accounting Records [Examples Only Retained]

This series comprises a sample of various financial records created by the Victorian Government Printing office (Law Printer). The records consist of work tickets, job costing records and cost summaries of jobs .Job tickets were standard records that were required to be created and maintained by the VGPO in its function of producing publications such as the Victorian Public Service Notices and Hansard.Work tickets record name of client, details of job, date of job and the cost. Each printing job was assigned a sequential number, e.g., 99920. Cost summary sheets are arranged in bundles in job number order. These records consist of a front sheet and an ADP printout containing details of the printing job, the number assigned to the job, the name of client and actual cost of supplies and labour required to complete the job.Job costing records are also arranged in bundles in job number order and contain a summary in ADP format of the labour costs and supplies required to complete the job. The total cost of the job is also recorded. This class of record also includes labour analysis sheets which were produced monthly to record the work code and overall cost of labour for the Law Printer.
