Global positive effects of climate change on terrestrial soil methane emissions

We provide the <i>in</i> <i>situ</i> soil CH₄ flux data obtained from peer-reviewed papers from the past three decades, which related to filed-based manipulation of climate changes across major terrestrial ecosystems worldwide. These datasets were grouped into three separate files according to different types of climate manipulation: (i) increased temperature (Datasets S1), (ii) increased precipitation (Datasets S2), (iii) decreased precipitation (Datasets S3). The geographical scope of those research was between −37°25′ N and 69°45′ N latitude, with MAT between −11.5 °C and 26.4 °C and MAP between 158 mm and 2,539 mm. The reported sites covered 17 countries or regions in Asia, Europe, Oceania, South America, and North America.
