Verfahrensdokumentation für GRI-JUG: Instrumentarium zur Erfassung des Geschlechtsrollen-Selbstkonzepts im Jugendalter

Das GRI-JUG erfasst mit 20 Items sowohl positive als auch negative Aspekte des Geschlechtsrollen-Selbstkonzepts auf den beiden Dimensionen der Maskulinität und Femininität im Jugendalter (12-18 Jahren). Über die Einbeziehung der negativen Aspekte maskuliner und femininer Attribute der Geschlechterrolle wird die Möglichkeit eröffnet, psychologische Korrelate negativer Selbstkonstruktionen in Bezug auf geschlechtstypisierte Merkmale genauer zu analysieren und theoretisch zu verankern. Den theoretischen Rahmen zur Analyse des Geschlechtsrollen-Selbstkonzepts liefert die "Gender Schema Theory" von Bem (1981). Es liegen vier Teilskalen mit jeweils 5 Items vor (Mask+, Mask-, Fem+ und Fem-). Reliabilität: Cronbachs Alpha lag bei Alpha = .63-.75. Validität: Die Teilskalen korrelierten jeweils positiv, aber gering miteinander, während die Zuschreibung positiver maskuliner Attribute signifikant mit der Zuschreibung positiver femininer Attribute korrelierte sowie die Zuschreibung negativer maskuliner Attribute mit der Zuschreibung negativer femininer Attribute. Zur weiteren Bestimmung der (prädiktiven) Validität wurden die Korrelationen mit den ausgewählten Validierungskonstrukten (Trait-Aggressivität, Empathiefähigkeit, Präferenz für typische Jungen- bzw. Mädchenberufe, Jungen- und Mädchen-Wünsche) bestimmt. The GRI-JUG with 20 items measures both positive and negative aspects of the gender role self-concept on the two dimensions of masculinity and femininity in adolescence (12-18 years). The inclusion of the negative aspects of masculine and feminine attributes of gender roles opens up the possibility of analysing psychological correlates of negative self-constructions with regard to gender-typed characteristics in more detail and anchoring them theoretically. The theoretical framework for the analysis of the gender role self-concept is provided by Bem's "Gender Schema Theory" (1981). There are four partial scales with 5 items each (Mask+, Mask-, Fem+ and Fem-). Reliability: Cronbach's alpha was alpha = .63-.75. Validity: The subscales correlated positively but slightly with each other, while the attribution of positive masculine attributes correlated significantly with the attribution of positive feminine attributes and the attribution of negative masculine attributes with the attribution of negative feminine attributes.
