Analysis of the efficacy of a homegrown mobile phase and Thin-layer chromatography for hospital-based assays dataset

Poisoning is a common method for intentional and unintentional self-harm due to the easy availability of various poisons. Lee et al commented on how poisoning affects the morbidity and mortality of the patients encountered in both emergency and outpatient cases, even without any history of the same. There is a need for a cost-effective method of qualitative analysis in resource-limited hospital settings, especially in resource-poor countries with high patient loads. The efficacy of thin-layer chromatography as a cost-effective tool was considered, due to its relevance in preliminary diagnostics, and a mobile phase was developed that showed utility across different classes of drugs.
