Aerodigestive microbiome in children with oropharyngeal dysphagia and aspiration

We conducted a prospective cohort study of 220 children ages 1-18 years old undergoing esophagogastroduodenoscopy and flexible bronchoscopy for the evaluation of chronic cough. Bronchoalveolar lavage (lung), gastric fluid and oropharyngeal swab samples were collected and 16S sequencing was performed.
