We aimed to profile the expression of the entire population of annotated lncRNAs (GENCODE 15) in the Frontal Cortex (FC) of Parkinson diseased (PD) individuals compared to age-matched controls. Overall design: The microarray used contained two probes for each lncRNA, targeting 22001 lncRNA transcripts, in addition to probes targeting 17535 randomly selected protein-coding transcripts. Samples obtained from post-mortem FC of 18 symptomatic PD patients (Braak stage 4-5) and 18 control individuals without neuropathological lesions or neurological signs.
