Onboard oil transportation map in the Arctic Ocean from 2019 to 2021

Onboard transported oil amount along ship tracks was mapped in 1120x760 grid covering the Arctic Ocean. The spatial resolution is approximately 10km.The map shows the total amount of oil calculated at the AIS ship position multiplied by the oil capacity of the ship. Oil capacity is a summation of tank sizes for fuel oil and cargo oil derived from a ship database. The map indicates the more or less of the monthly distribution of potential oil mass in each cell by the color.
