Delphinids – Binned detections of dolphin echolocation clicks in the Gulf of Mexico, 2010-2012

This dataset consists of delphinid echolocation clicks recorded at five sites in the Gulf of Mexico from May 2010 until March 2012. The sites are Desoto Canyon (DC), Dry Tortugas (DT), Green Canyon (GC), Main Pass (MP), and Mississippi Canyon (MC). Additional site information is contained in the deployment_info.csv file. Clicks were grouped into five-minute bins and clustered based on spectra. Clustered clicks are described herein as mean normalized spectra for each cluster formed, with the associated distribution of inter-click intervals (ICI) calculated from first time differences between clicks within each cluster.本数据集收录了2010年5月至2012年3月期间，于墨西哥湾5个站点录制的海豚科（Delphinidae）动物回声定位咔声。上述站点分别为德索托峡谷（Desoto Canyon, DC）、德赖托图格斯群岛（Dry Tortugas, DT）、格林峡谷（Green Canyon, GC）、主航道（Main Pass, MP）以及密西西比峡谷（Mississippi Canyon, MC）。站点的额外部署信息详见deployment_info.csv文件。研究人员将采集到的咔声按5分钟时间窗口进行分箱，并基于频谱特征完成聚类。本文中，所有聚类后的咔声均以各聚类簇的归一化平均频谱进行描述，并基于每个聚类簇内咔声之间的首次时间差，计算得到对应的咔声间隔（inter-click interval, ICI）分布。
