资源简介:
Chemical contaminants released by human activities are polluting ecosystems around the world and are a growing threat to wildlife. Among the chemical contaminants of concern, one of the most prevalent groups in coastal waters are polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Studies have determined the negative effects of PAHs on wildlife, including the alteration of gene expression. This study aims to investigate the transcriptomic responses of Artemia parthenogenetica when exposed to an environmentally relevant dose of phenanthrene, a common PAH. By analyzing the gene expression changes in this species, the research seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the organism's response to phenanthrene exposure. The study's findings are significant in understanding the broader ecological impacts of PAH pollution and could provide crucial insights for environmental conservation and pollution management efforts.
