Cardiac aging is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly understood. In this study, we employed a multi-omics approach combining single-nucleus RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) to comprehensively characterize the cellular and molecular landscape of cardiomyocyte (CM) aging in mice. Overall design: We isolated cardiac cell nuclei and performed concurrent scRNA and scATAC-seq to identify molecular changes between old and young cell types.
