资源简介:
The most common worldwide spread exoU-positive clones within the Pseudomonas aeruginosa populations are the clonal lineages D421 and F46D. Both clones were more frequently detected in animate habitats than in soil or aquatic habitats. Clone D421 was isolated with similar rates from patients with acute and chronic P. aeruginosa infections. Clone F46D, however, of which multidrug resistant isolates have been found in several countries, was the most frequent clones in acute infections, but was not detected in the context of severe chronic infections. Representatives of these two clonal lineages were grown in a fermenter under standardized conditions and displayed different growth characteristics. In accordance with that, also the transcriptome profiles of the two strains, generated from samples taken during cultivation, differed between the two clones, primarily for genes involved in the synthesis and transport of secreted factors.
