Discovering the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi as-sociated with two production systems of Theobroma cacao.

Our work aims to discover the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizae associated with two cocoa production systems (non-intervened and semi-intervened by agrochemicals) using next-generation sequencing of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region. Soil samples were collected and DNA was extracted with a commercial kit. After bioinformatics analysis, the abundance and diversity of fungi were observed for both conditions.
