Classification of types of activity limitation (ISTAC: CL_SURVEYS_TYPES_LIMITATION_ACTIVITY)

This classification identifies the types of disabilities a person may have, whether or not they are independent of each other. It is considered that a person does suffer from the disability even if he has overcome it with the use of some external technical help. Therefore, people who do not suffer difficulties or problems because they use some external technical help (headphones, crutches, access ramps, etc.) but who would have significant difficulties if they did not have such technical help, do suffer from the corresponding disability. A caveat is established in the case of vision disabilities, since it is considered that the use of glasses or contact lenses is very widespread. Therefore, in this case, only the disabilities that persist with the use of glasses or contact lenses are collected.
