资源简介:
In two studies, we exposed participants to novel online dating profiles varying in apparent race, gender, and history of incarceration. We led participants to believe that we were testing unconventional dating profile formats in order to develop a new dating service. Participants rated the profiles on various dimensions, including their appeal to potential mates.

Data for Study 1 were collected via Amazon Mechanical Turk from 2018-06-06 to 2018-06-07. Data for Study 2 were collected via Prolific from 2019-10-31 to 2019-11-05.

In the data files, a value of -99 indicates that the participant saw the item in question but chose not to respond to it. For other notes, see the text files included in this archive.

I recognize that the documentation of this project could be more detailed. I have many projects that could benefit from additional public documentation. If you are using the data, please reach out to me via email and I can prioritize sharing more information about this one. My most up-to-date email address should be available at saraemilyburke.com/contact.html.
