<b>Micafungin microevolution in </b><b><i>Candida (Candidozyma) auris</i></b><b> reveals resistance development without </b><b><i>in vivo </i></b><b>fitness compromise </b>

In this study, we applied a microevolution approach to generate multiple micafungin resistant strains using two clinical isolates (AR0381 from clade II and AR0387 from clade I) that originated from patients with distinct clinical manifestations. We then examined both the impact and reproducibility of micafungin resistance development in these two isolates.
