Share of households by tenure status in Italy 2022, by region

In 2022, the share of Italian households in the region of Molise owning a home was as high as 94 percent, the highest in the country. Conversely, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, located in the North-East, was the region with the lowest share of homeowners (70 percent). On average, approximately eight in ten households in Italy were homeowners as of 2022.
