The dataset includes force–shortening data collected during compression after impact (CAI) tests of thin-walled composite profiles. Experimental data were obtained using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM), providing global force–displacement measurements, and a Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system (ARAMIS), enabling optical measurement of local displacements. Numerical data were generated using Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations performed in LS-DYNA. The data are stored in plain text (.txt), containing shortening (mm) and force (N or kN). Experimental data acquisition was performed using standard testing machine software and ARAMIS.
