Dataset for experimental validation of a dynamic pore-network model for spontaneous imbibition in sandstones rocks

The dataset includes:<br><br>1. CT data.raw: Micro-CT scans of cylindrical mini-plugs of Nubian, Bentheimer, and Upper berea sandstones, with voxel resolutions of 4, 3, and 2 microns, respectively. The dimensions of the voxels along the x, y and z directions are 900, 900 and 900.<br>2. pore.xlsx: the experimental data on the spontaneous imbibition of water into dry Nubian, Bentheimer, and Upper berea sandstones.<br>3. case_studies.rar: results from dynamic pore-network models of Nubian, Bentheimer, and Upper berea.Within each folder, the subfolder M_55.9 contains pore-scale results with a viscosity ratio of 55.9; M_1.0 contains pore-scale results with a viscosity ratio of 1.0; and M_0.1 contains pore-scale results with a viscosity ratio of 0.1. The viscosity ratio represents the ratio of wetting viscosity to nonwetting viscosity, with the wetting phase maintained as water.
