WAMSI - Montgomery Reef Heritage Assessment

A range of physical, chemical and biological data was collected during four approximately week- long trips from June to September 2008.Two temperature- pressure loggers sampling at 30 s intervals (SBE39, Seabird Electronics) were deployed from 27 June 2008 to 26 August 2008 near Champagney and MacIntyre Islands in 23 m and 22.7 m of water, respectively.Hydrographic surveys of temperature, salinity (SBE19plus, Seabird Electronics) , turbidity and chlorophyll a fluorescence via repeated boat-based transects were completed over the Camden Sound/ Montgomery Reef area during four approximately week-long trips:- Trip 1: 27/06/08 – 02/07/08;- Trip 2: 31/07/08 – 04/08/08;- Trip 3: 25/08/08 – 29/08/08 and;- Trip 4: 17/09/08 – 22/09/08. The total number of casts collected was approximately 200.2008年6月至9月，研究团队先后实施四次为期约一周的野外考察，共采集获取一系列物理、化学与生物观测数据。2008年6月27日至8月26日，研究人员分别在尚帕格尼群岛（Champagney Islands）与麦金泰尔群岛（MacIntyre Islands）附近的23米、22.7米水深海域，布设两台以30秒为采样间隔的温压记录仪（temperature-pressure loggers），型号为SBE39，由SeaBird Electronics公司生产。在四次考察期间，研究团队通过多次乘船断面测量，在卡姆登湾（Camden Sound）与蒙哥马利礁（Montgomery Reef）海域完成了水文调查，涵盖温度、盐度（采用SBE19plus型SeaBird Electronics公司设备）、浊度及叶绿素a荧光四项指标，各次考察的具体时间安排如下：第1次：2008年6月27日—7月2日；第2次：2008年7月31日—8月4日；第3次：2008年8月25日—8月29日；第4次：2008年9月17日—9月22日。本次调查共获取约200组有效观测站位（casts）数据。
