Reconstruction of Middle and Late Paleolithic metagenomes to access natural products

In this study, we generated additional shotgun short-read sequencing data of dental calculus samples from Neanderthals and anatomically modern humans for de novo assembly and generate ancient metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs). Furthermore, this study includes the sequencing data of the extraction and library preparation negative controls plus the shotgun short-read sequencing data of six sediment samples and a toe bone sample from the cave site El Mirón, Spain.
