This data set includes all the data used in the paper '' Sprite outbreaks on consecutive nights over Central South China during the delayed pre-rainy season of South China in 2021''.In the file named 'Data_for_sprite_outbreaks', there are ten individual files:(1) The file named 'pitctures_of_TLEs_from_May_10_to_12' contains pictures of transient luminous events (TLEs) captured by Chinese sprite enthusiasts from Luoding (111.4242°E, 22.5367°N) to the north-west direction for three consecutive nights from May 10 to 12, 2021.(2) The file named 'GLD36020210510_0513' contains GLD360 data from May 10-12, 2021.(3) The file named 'TLEs_labeled_on_May_10-12' contains TLE parent lightning information determined based on TLEs photographed by enthusiasts and GLD360 data.(4) The file named 'TBB' contains 13-band Temperature of Black Body data of cloud top with resolution of 1 km from meteorological satellite Himawari-8.(5) The file named 'Relative_humidity_WIND_Geo' includes the geopotential height at 500 hPa, relative humidity, wind at 850 hPa conducted with the help of ERA5 reanalysis from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts at 18:00 UTC on May 10-12 with with resolution of 0.25°.(6) The file named 'CAPE' contains the Convective Available Potential Energy conducted with the help of ERA5 reanalysis from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts at 18:00 UTC on May 10-12 with resolution of 0.25°. (7) The file named 'precipitation_rate_GPM' contains daily mean precipitation rate estimated by Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) at 18:00 UTC on May 10-12 with resolution of 0.1°.(8) The file named 'vortex_from_ERA5_700hpa_1700_10_May' contains vorticity at 700 hPa with resolution of 0.25° conducted with the help of ERA5 reanalysis from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts at 17:00 UTC on May 10.(9) The file named 'UV_wind_from_ERA5_200hpa700hpa950hpa_1700_10_May' contains the U-component and V-component of wind with resolution of 0.25° at 17:00 UTC on May 10.(10) The file named 'Geo_500hpa_1700_10_May' contains the geopotential height at 500 hPa at 17:00 UTC on May 10.
