Adult iGBS infection in Hiroshima, Japan

Epidemiological data on patients with invasive group B Streptococcus (GBS) infections and their isolates in Japanese adults are extremely limited. In this study, we performed whole-genome sequencing of GBS strains isolated from such patients between 2008 and 2023 and stored at Hiroshima University Hospital, and analyzed the corresponding clinical information.
