Metadata from web-crawling Indonesian short stories

This repository stores a metadata file from web-crawling Indonesian short stories. The stories were originally (and mainly) published in different national newspapers and then uploaded on https://lakonhidup.wordpress.com, from which I crawled them (as of the date of publishing this metadata, this webpage no longer exists).

The codes for crawling the texts were written in R and the crawling ran between 27 August 2016 15:44 AEST and 8 June 2018 17:55 AEST (i.e., during my PhD candidature at [and funded by] Monash University, Australia). The collected short stories were dated between 2010 and 2018.

The metadata columns represent:

DATE (of the upload/publication of the stories on the webpage)

YEAR

MONTH

AUTHOR (if represented consistently in the HTML)

SOURCE (of the newspapers from which the short stories were taken by the hosting webpage)

TITLE (of the short stories)

URL (of the short stories)

DOWNLOAD DATES (the dates the stories were crawled and saved into my computer)

The publishing of the file in this repository is used as an example for the tutorial on using Zenodo to publish research materials as part of the establishment of DUMILAH (Digital Humanities Landscape at the Faculty of Humanities) at Udayana University.
