Derived GBIF occurrence dataset for Connected niche diversity: Japan Aves, Magnoliopsida, and Mammalia, 2015–2022

This archive contains the GBIF-mediated occurrence records andprovenance tables used for the cross-domain differentiation analysis inthe manuscript “Connected niche diversity reframes typicality asperson–system fit.” The dataset comprises 137,548 retained occurrence records from Japanfor 2015–2022: 64,892 Aves records, 54,384 Magnoliopsida records, and18,272 Mammalia records. The records originate from 143 parent GBIFdatasets and cover the study polygon 122–154°E and 24–46°N. Records were retrieved through the GBIF occurrence search API andprocessed using the frozen analysis workflow. Records without anonempty species field were excluded. The archive contains the retainedanalysis-record table, parent-dataset contribution counts,machine-readable metadata, SHA-256 checksums, and documentation. The dataset was prepared to support the GBIF derived-datasetregistration and reproducibility of the biodiversity analyses reportedin the associated manuscript. Original GBIF-mediated occurrence recordsremain subject to the licences and rights statements of their parentdatasets.
