Sample Dataset for LandingLens: Manufacturing Metal Casting

This app is a dataset of sample images that you sync to a [LandingLens](https://app.snowflake.com/marketplace/listing/GZTYZ12K65D7/landingai-landinglens-visual-ai-platform?originTab=provider&providerName=LandingAI&profileGlobalName=GZTYZ12K65BX) app on Snowflake so that you can quickly train a model and learn how to use LandingLens! You must have LandingLens installed on Snowflake to use these images.

This sample dataset contains images of metal casting in a manufacturing environment. The images are divided into two folders: **defects** and **no defects**. The dataset is designed to be synced to a Classification dataset in LandingLens.

This app will make the images available on an internal stage to users with the App User role.

After you get this app, grant it permissions to create an internal stage in the Consumer Account that is executing the LandingLens app. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Click the **Shield** icon in the top right corner of this app page OR grant the CREATE DATABASE privilege to this app.
2. Open the **LLENS_DATA_APP** tab.
3. Click the **Sync Files** button.
4. Make a note of the **Database**, **Schema**, and **Stage**. You will later enter this information in LandingLens.

After you add this dataset to an internal stage that the LandingLens app can access, follow these instructions to add the images to LandingLens:

1. Open **LandingLens**.
2. Create a new **Classification** project.
3. Click **Sync Snowflake Data**.
4. Run the SQL commands listed on the pop-up window.
5. Enter the **Database**, **Schema**, and **Stage** that you noted earlier (the location where the dataset images are stored). 
6. Click **Sync**.
