Framing Migration and Migrants Through Border Crises

This project draws on we collected documents (n = 223) written from May 2021to February 2023, to be found in the databases of eight actors, namely the PoliciaNacional, the Guardia Civil, the Ciudad Autónoma de Ceuta, the Ciudad Autónomade Melilla, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), NoNameKitchen and Asociación Elin based in Ceuta and Solidary Wheels in Melilla. Inaddition, to zoom in on what we define an alternative framing of migration andmigrants on these borders, we conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews (n =5) with the representatives of No Name Kitchen and Asociación Elin in Ceuta, andSolidary Wheels in Melilla
