<div>Barro Colorado Island, AVA tower.</div><div>Wind speed, electronic sensor, interval max/min/avg</div><div><br></div><div>Established in Mar, 2011 as part of the ForestGEO Tropical Ecology, Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) project.<br>The original tower was Located near the center of the island at the north west corner of the 50ha plot (9.1568°, -79.8486°).<br>In 2018 this tower was struck by a tree fall and rendered unusable.<br>In Feb. 2019 a new 45m tower was build close by (9.1568°, -79.8486°). <br></div><p></p>巴罗科罗拉多岛（Barro Colorado Island）AV塔（AVA tower） 风速观测数据由电子传感器采集，涵盖间隔时段的最大值、最小值与平均值 初代观测塔于2011年3月建成，作为森林地理观测网络（ForestGEO）热带生态评估与监测（TEAM）项目的组成部分。该塔坐落于该岛中部附近的50公顷样地西北角，地理坐标为北纬9.1568°、西经79.8486°。2018年，该塔被倒伏树木撞击后无法正常运行。2019年2月，科研人员在初代塔址附近新建了一座高45米的新观测塔，其地理坐标与初代塔址一致，为北纬9.1568°、西经79.8486°。
