Gut microbiome structure and metabolic activity in inflammatory bowel disease. Human gut metagenome

This project collected and profiled paired shotgun metagenomes and LC-MS metabolomes from subjects with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and non-IBD controls. We identified and validated differentially abundant (DA) features in the metagenomes and metabolomes of IBD subjects, and described putatively mechanistic associations between DA microbes, enzymes, and metabolites.
