Ecuador: cultivation area of fairtrade banana 2015-2017

In 2017, area under fairtrade banana cultivation in Ecuador amounted to 7.04 thousand metric hectares. A year before, this number was equal to 5.21 thousand metric hectares. In 2016/2017, the volume of fairtrade bananas sold worldwide was equivalent to more than 641 thousand metric tons.
