Based on the evaluation of existing land cover data, this dataset fuses multiple geospatial datasets using evidence theory, including the 2000 1:100,000-scale land use data of China, vegetation type classifications from the 1:1,000,000-scale Vegetation Atlas of China, the 1:100,000-scale glacier map of China, the 1:1,000,000-scale marsh and wetland map of China, and the MODIS 2001 land cover product (MOD12Q1). Finally, decisions are made according to the principle of maximum credibility to generate a new IGBP-classified dataset.
