Replication data for: No evidence of a common pattern of taxon or phylogenetic diversity across elevation for beetle (Coleoptera) families

These datasets are a compilation of studies that have data on beetle diversity and elevation and a compilation of the raw data of those studies that had such data available. We set out to determine whether beetle families had the same patterns of diversity across elevation and found that 1) most families could not be examined due to underrepresentation in our dataset, 2) the most diverse families (Staphylinidae and Curculionidae) were underrepresented relative to their diversity, and 3) the only two families for which we could evaluate diversity and elevation (Carabidae and Scarabaeidae) did not share the same patterns.
