Cambridge Replication Workshop 2013: Syllabus, Handouts and Assignments

The Cambridge Replication Workshop 2013 was a pilot project funded by the Social Sciences Research Methods Centre. It introduced students to the process of reproducing published work. Through replication, students became familiar with methods and learned to think about steps the author has made. Most importantly, students developed an understanding of what challenges and complications authors of published work have faced, and how they found a solution that is accepted in the scientific community. The workshop was created following examples by Gary King at Harvard and Victoria Stodden at Columbia University.
