VPRS 15986 Correspondence Alphabetical Record Books

The record books were created to provide access by name or subject to central inward correspondence including Secretary's correspondence located in VPRS 10031 Central Correspondence Files 1932 to 1968.In 1932, the previous system of registering and indexing the Secretary's correspondence separately from the central correspondence was abolished, and a new system of using one registry and index for both sets of correspondence was established.The files relate to a wide range of topics, including issues at the mine, the supply of goods and services to the mine and its staff, and reports relating to the mine's operations.
