Overlap between petite frequency and respiratory growth phenotypes.

We observe that the majority of single deletion strains deemed respiratory deficient in our petite frequency assay exhibited severe respiratory growth defects as well. Interestingly, 12 mutants with altered mitochondrial transmission rates exhibited either severe or moderate respiratory growth defects, indicating that these genes may be involved in respiratory complex assembly.
