资源简介:
Samples for suspended particulate matter (SPM) and organic carbon contents analyses were collected during a series of ship-board sampling campaigns in the Barents Sea, along a North-South transect at 30 degrees Longitude in July 2018 (cruise JR17007) and July 2019 (cruise JR18006) as part of the Changing Arctic Ocean programme. SPM was sampled from airline tubing connected to access ports in the core mini flume (see Thompson et al. 2013), located in the middle of the flow channel (~10 cm above sediment surface), one minute before the end of each flow velocity step, using a 50 ml Swinnex syringe filter system with pre-ashed (450 degrees C for 24 hours) pre-weighed 25 mm Glass Fibre Filters (Whatmann). Sample processing was undertaken at a later date, using step-wise drying (24 hours at 60 degrees C) and ashing (24 hours at 450 degrees C) of the samples to determine organic carbon contents.
