FlowUS: A comprehensive dataset of United States streamflow time series data

A comprehensive fileset of daily streamflow time series data from 28,164 United States Geological Survey streamgages across the United States and Puerto Rico is provided. This dataset synthesizes publicly available streamflow records in a way that enhances their distribution and utility. First, these data are formatted in a manner that is consistent with other opensource freshwater datasets and ready for use in any programming language or software package. Additionally, this fileset contains a database of streamgage summary statistics from which users can simultaneously filter sites by multiple criteria and identify streamgages that meet the requirements of their analysis.
