To explore the influence of college freshmen's learning adaptation on their subjective well-being, based on self-determination theory, this study used the Learning Adaptation Scale, Subjective Well-being Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Academic Contingent Self-worth Scale to conduct a 7-day measurement for 107 freshmen. Result showed that, after controlling , whether at the level of the individual or between individuals:(1)The mediating effect is not significant in this association.(2)The mediating effect was moderated by academic contingent self-worth in the first half of the path is significant. The findings of this study help to clarify the boundary conditions of the influence mechanism between college freshmen's learning adaptation and subjective well-being, and provide a new perspective and empirical support for how to maintain the subjective well-being of this group.
