Snap-shot survey of INTEGRAL sources in the Galactic plane

We propose a survey of unclassified INTEGRAL sources from the latestINTEGRAL/IBIS catalog. Using several parameter cuts, we have identified asubsample that must be dominated by Galactic sources such as accretingbinaries, CVs, young pulsars and their nebulae, and magnetars. We aim toidentify their Xray counterparts, localize their positions (to1..2..precision), measure Xray properties, and determine the nature of thesources through multiwavelength classification. This will increase thepopulation of classified Galactic sources detected in both hard and soft Xrays.The prudent snapshot survey approach, supplemented with the multiwavelengthclassification, will shed light on population of Galactic truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
