GO analysis confirmed enrichment in biological processes linked to cellular nitrogen compound metabolic process, biosynthetic process, response to stress, signal transduction, and anatomical structure development for HEK-293T cells expressing wild type ataxin-1. Enrichment in biological processes linked to similar processes for HEK-293T cells expressing mutant ataxin-1. Molecular function analysis showed enrichment in wild and mutant ataxin-1 bound transcripts for genes encoding proteins from RNA binding, ion binding, enzyme binding, and DNA binding. However, the proportion to the total number of ataxin-1 bound transcripts encoding proteins was different for wild and mutant ataxin-1.
