The aim of the work was to study the genome wide effect of isoniazid stress on Mycobacterium smegmatis, a model organism of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The isoniazid resistant M. smegmatis, were evolved through serial passaging with increasing concentrations of isoniazid at each iteration. Two colonies(INHR1, INHR2) from 4X MIC of isoniazid were isolated and the whole genome was sequenced along with the wild-type strain (INHwt), using NGS.
