资源简介:
This dataset was generated as part of a quantitative study aiming to analyze parents’ attitudes toward obesity taxes and the demographic and child-related factors influencing these attitudes. The data were collected through a structured survey administered to 402 parents residing in Çanakkale, Türkiye, who have children aged 4 to 13 years.
The dataset includes variables measuring attitudes toward obesity taxes (based on Likert-type scale items), as well as demographic characteristics (such as age, gender, education level, income, and number of children) and child-related factors (including child’s age, BMI perception, and dietary habits).
The data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 27, employing descriptive statistics, Independent Samples T-Test, One-Way ANOVA, and Simple Regression Model to explore differences and predictors of parental attitudes. Findings from the quantitative analysis indicate that parents generally hold negative attitudes toward obesity taxes, and that these attitudes significantly vary according to certain sociodemographic and family characteristics.
This dataset can be used for replication studies, comparative analyses across regions, or policy evaluations related to health taxation and parental attitudes toward public health interventions.
