Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW) is a face photograph database specifically designed for research on unrestricted face recognition tasks. It was created and maintained by researchers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. A total of 13,233 images from 5,233 individuals were collected from the Internet, and all these images were detected and centered using the Viola-Jones face detector.
